Bridge the divide and mediate online.

 What is mediation?

Most people have heard of mediation, but few have an understanding of what it really is. Simply put, mediation is trying to resolve conflict without going to court. I guess that’s a likely story coming from a lawyer! But I'm a lawyer who now practices solely as a mediator because I believe in the power of mediation and keeling people out of court.

After representing clients in court for many years I've found that many people walk out of court (sometimes years later) much poorer, totally exhausted and often feeling very disappointed. Not feeling a sense of justice. Not feeling like they have won, even if they've achieved their ultimate outcome.

Mediation on the flip side is usually a process that is arranged quickly, cost effectively and allows the parties to have control of the decisions they make.  It works because as a qualified mediator, I can facilitate a conversation and get to the bottom of what the problems really are and how we can find a solution for the future.

Online mediation can work if you have distance between you, are time poor, having difficult locating a local mediator or suitable space or simply that you do not wish to share space with the other person. All reasons are valid and all reasons can be accommodated online using Zoom.

Online Mediation.

If you are looking to embrace the flexibility and convenience of online mediation then this option is for you. I conduct online mediations both Nationally and Internationally for clients who find distance is a barrier to resolving their disputes. Others use my online mediation services simply because it is convenient to use my digital platform to bring the parties and their lawyers together.

Online mediation is ideal if:

  • Distance is an issue;

  • You’d rather not be at the same location;

  • You are concerned about coming into contact with others;

  • You want to save time and money on travel; or

  • You don’t want to pay for venue hire.

With the exponential growth of technology in this digital age it makes sense to use it to your advantage.

My preferred online platform is Zoom and I set up password protected online meeting links for complete confidence and confidentiality.
